FREE Parent and Baby Class – infant health and development

You must be a BirthResources member and enroll in this class to be able to attend for free. Others can attend for a cost of $5 at the door. http://www.birthresources.org/display/BirthResources/Classes
As well as gaining more knowledge there will be time to catch up with others who may have been in your antenatal group. Drinks provided but please bring a plate of food to share.
This class is done after childbirth education classes and is aimed at anyone with a child less than 2 years old.
There is a baby changing area.

Date: 3d September 2011 1-4pm

Topics: Aimed at anyone with a child less than 2 years old, but parents-to-be may also find it of use. Topics: Understanding Baby’s development and needs including feeding, sleeping. Baby massage. Infant health and CPR. Parenting

We will be having Ali Voysey-Jensen from Tommee Tippee Tea Time Talks whom is a Child and Family Healthcare Consultant come talk about infant health and development.
Tommee Tippee Tea Time Talk

In 2010 Tommee Tippee developed the Tea Time Talks to provide Kiwi parents with meaningful, practical information about early parenthood, supporting New Zealand families in making informed choices. Tommee Tippee’s Child & Family Healthcare Consultant will come to your coffee group, bring morning tea and facilitate an open discussion around any topic of your choosing (from pregnancy to Toddlers).This is not a Sales party. It is just a chance for Tommee Tippee to share the joys of parenting with you and your peers. The sessions are approx 1 hour and 15 minutes. Tommee Tippee fully supports the WHO code and advocates breast is best.

The Tommee Tippee Tea Time Talks are facilitated by Ali Voysey-Jensen our in-house Child & Family Healthcare Consultant who has over 30 years experience in the field of Paediatrics, Neonatal care and Lactation counselling. She is a mother of three ranging from 2 years to 20 years and is passionate about parenting.
